Here at the Ymker Greenhouse, we carry over thirty varieties of herbs. Most herbs are very easy to grow. You can harvest herbs throughout the season. Harvest after the dew has dried, but before the heat of the day. You can harvest up to 75% of the plant’s growth at a time. Do not harvest more than this; this will allow for the plant to regrow and you will have another harvest.

Herbs have the best flavor if used fresh. Be sure not to crush the herbs’ flowers or leaves until using. When drying herbs, be sure to dry quickly to ensure the herbs will not mold. Herbs should be dried out of the sun. UV rays can discolor the herbs as well as damage their quality. Do not wash herbs before drying unless they are dirty. Remove damaged leaves, stems and flowers. Hang small bundles of herbs upside down in a warm, dry, airy place. Preferably indoors.
